2016 Container Trucking Services Licence Application Package
Current Local TLS Program Licences and Access Agreements expire on May 31, 2016.
Participation in the TLS Program now requires a BC Container Trucking Services Licence (the “Licence”) from the Office of the British Columbia Container Trucking Commissioner and an Access Agreement (the “Access Agreement”) from the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. TLS Program applications must be received by April 20, 2016. All current local TLS Program participants in good standing have the opportunity to re-apply.
The new Local TLS Program Application Handbook, including forms and a sample Licence and Access Agreement below, provides applicants with information needed to determine eligibility to re-apply, and to assist applicants in submitting a complete and compliant application.
The total number of filled truck tags in the current fleet will not increase, and companies not currently participating in the TLS Program are not eligible to apply. The amounts of the 2016 TLS Program Charges, damage deposits, insurance and required and securities remain unchanged from the 2015 TLS Program. Existing securities automatically renew if there are no changes to the fleet size. If the size of the Licensee’s fleet changes, the security may require an adjustment.
