The Office of the British Columbia Container Trucking Commissioner (OBCCTC) is now accepting applications for a 2026 CTS Licence effective December 1, 2026.
All applicants should review the instructions below before submitting their applications before the deadline.
Note: All efforts have been made to capture relevant information to assist applicants. Application Deadline
All applications must be delivered in person to the Registrar at the OBCCTC office no later than May 29, 2026 at 12 (noon). Late applications will not be considered.
How to apply
Step 1: Review the applicant handbook

Step 2: Download the forms
Select the button below that applies to your business to download the forms to be filled out.
Download the ZIP file. Unzip it on your computer.
IMPORTANT: You must complete the forms exactly as they are provided. Do not rename files, move items between folders, combine or alter the folder structure.
Step 3: Complete the forms and provide requested documents
Complete all forms within your downloaded folder, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
Use the Licence Document Checklist provided as a courtesy (located inside your downloaded folder) to assist you.
IMPORTANT: The information provided must be specific to each applicant’s application – information relied on and/or provided as a part of a separate application for a 2026 CTS licence will not be reviewed.
Step 4: Submission via USB Key
Your final application must be submitted on a USB Key (USB Flash Drive).
Save your completed folder (with its original structure intact) and all supporting documents onto a USB key that can be opened by Microsoft software.
Clearly label the USB key with your Company Name.
Deliver the USB key to the Registrar at the OBCCTC office at 1085 Cambie Street, Vancouver BC V6B 5L7 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and before the deadline.
Important considerations
Applications will not be accepted via email. No hardcopies of applications will be accepted.
No more than one application for a 2026 CTS licence on a USB key.
All fields on the application forms must be typed in the forms that have been provided. Alterations of, substitutes for, combination of, or incomplete forms will not be considered.
All copies of required and supporting documents must be in English, clear, and legible.
